Road Rallies through the years

Every spring, we gather our classes and have road rallies!  Each class gets to bring a riding toy and helmet from home and ride on our “track”.  Our wonderful parents volunteer to man the snack station, “gas” station, and ribbon station.  Each time a student completes a lap, they receive a streamer to put on their bike or scooter.  students love collective the streamers and participating in this fun day!

Music Days

 Music Days

Every year in the spring we invite local musicians into our school to teach our students about various types of instruments and styles of music. Over the years our guests have included middle and high school violinists, a local music composer, an organist, a flautist, guitar players, keyboard players, and an in school visit from Popovsky Performing Arts Center.

Field Trips

We love to give our students a variety of experiences!  One way that we do that is to take them on field trips.

Our field trips have included the Manheim Farm Show, Various local pumpkin patches, a bowling alley, The Science Factory, The Library, Eastland Alpaca Farm, The North Museum of Nature and Science, and even an in house field trip to see reptiles up close and personally!

For our 4/5s, we give the students the opportunity to ride to and from the field trip on the school bus.  This is probably one of the student’s favorite part of each field trip!  Not to mention, it gives good school bus practice for those children who will be taking the school bus in the coming year(s).

Our Thanksgiving Celebration

We celebrate Thanksgiving together with our students by having a feast! Parent volunteer to help serve our children a meal that includes some traditional Thanksgiving food items. Our menu usually includes the following: ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, apple sauce, macaroni and cheese, and pumpkin bread. (allergies are ALWAYS taken into consideration when planning our menu)
